Saoban Products

Beautifully handcrafted, eco-friendly products directly from the villagers of Laos.
Saoban is a social business that works with traditional artisans to preserve and promote Lao village crafts. They work under the principles of fair trade in order to create employment opportunities for villagers, especially women, and reduce poverty.
Saoban means "villager" in Lao. When you purchase a Saoban product you help to provide an income for the artisan, and you support and empower rural communities.
Saoban now works with over 300 artisans in 15 producer groups across five provinces of Laos. Their range includes beautifully hand-woven silk and cotton textiles using natural dyes, bamboo wares, silver jewellery, bags and accessories.
This producer is from Laos, and when sold out re-ordering may take some time; consider all of these products to be of limited stock!
